Energy Resources Center’s Rights of Way as Habitat team just launched the new Illinois Monarch Project website, which provides an interactive platform for Illinoisans all across the state–agricultural producers, city dwellers, energy companies, homeowners, schools, parks, etc.–to find resources about monarch conservation and help us reach our goal of adding 150 million milkweed to the Illinois landscape by 2038. The draft Illinois Monarch Action Plan is also available on the website, as well as a pledge for individuals and organizations to commit to actions to help the monarch butterfly.

Illinois Monarch Project represents a cross-sector collaborative of agriculture, rights-of-way, urban, and natural lands representatives. ERC serves as the IMP state coordinator, and in this role has facilitated the development of the Action Plan and this website.
