Leonel Diaz joined ERC as a Research Engineer on the Energy Efficiency team. He currently conducts energy assessments and prepares energy savings reports for the Income Eligible Multifamily Savings (IEMS), Public Housing Energy Savings (PHES), and Non-Profit Organization (NPO) programs. He strives to maximize energy savings and promote energy efficiency to residences throughout the state of Illinois.
Prior to joining ERC, Leonel worked as a Process Engineer in the chemical industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Masters in Energy Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago. His interest includes renewable energy, battery storage, and combined heat and power systems.
