Catherine O'Reilly

Catherine O’Reilly is a Partner Coordinator for the Sustainable Landscapes team
at the Energy Resources Center, which is an interdisciplinary public service,
research, and special projects organization that works to advance energy
sustainability and improve the environment, based out of the College of
Engineering at the University of Illinois Chicago. Catherine’s work focuses on the
creation of pollinator habitat on energy and transportation lands through
partnerships with energy and transportation organizations, public and private
landowners, and other stakeholders. They facilitate administration and outreach
for the Rights-of-Way as Habitat Working Group and its conservation agreements,
including the Nationwide Candidate Conservation Agreement for Monarch
Butterfly on Energy and Transportation
Lands and the Nationwide Agreement for At-Risk Bumble Bee Species. Catherine
also facilitates the gROWing Chicago Habitat Initiative, which provides a
framework for habitat conservation on energy and transportation lands in the
Chicago Wilderness Region.
