About

Sam Rinaldi has 20 years of dynamic leadership experience in business development in Europe, South America and the United States. Upon return stateside, Sam has focused efforts on business development within the area of energy efficiency across the midwest. Among his memorable accomplishments was the establishment of the Public Sector Trade Ally Program in partnership with Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO/ Illinois State Energy Office). Today, in addition to his work as Program Coordinator at Energy Resources Center at University of Illinois at Chicago,  you can also catch Sam moonlighting as the Membership Chairman of the Midwest Cogeneration Association- an organization which advances understanding of the carbon reducing potential of combined heat and power systems.

Today, Sam continues to synergize efforts between regional utilities, OSP's and public institutions so as to accelerate the adoption of energy efficiency measures. By assisting institutions such as K-12 schools, libraries and municipalities over the years, he has aimed to move the needle in reducing energy consumption by guiding organizations through one capital improvement at a time. With a keen understanding of where policy, business and energy needs converge, Sam invites anyone to find out more about partnering with the Energy Resources Center in answering their energy efficiency needs.
